Class Participation
This course is highly interactive and attendance and active participation in all classes is required. Students will also be requested to contribute to the discussion forums available on Blackboard. Each student should make at least five contributions during the semester.
Mid-Term Test
In week eight (reading week) a mid-term test will be administered through Blackboard.
Teaching Presentation
In this course, students will be required to design part of a lesson in which some aspect of pronunciation is dealt with and try it out with their own students. You will work in groups to prepare the lesson and materials and present your experiences in a group presentation.
Reflection
At the end of the semester students will submit an essay in which they will reflection on their experiences in planning and implementing their lesson plan.
Final Examination
The final examination will consist of multiple choice and short answer questions, transcription and a short essay.
