Characteristic Features

-Inequilateral, beaks in anterior third.

-Outline elongate longer than high, subrectangular; posterior margin long,
gently sloping.

-Dorsal are wide, only slightly cleft

-Periostracum persistent at margins of fine lamellae and fine erect bristles,
dark brown in colour

-Shell to 10cm
