Characteristic Features

-Carapace regularly quadrangular, its surface flattish, granulately ridged
anteriorly, the groove separating gastric and cardiac regions deeply
demarcated, the branchial region with oblique striae.

-Lateral margins of the carapace smoothly crenated, almost parallel,
without tooth.

-Carapace length: (M) 12.7-18.5 mm, (F) 11.5-16.6 mm; breath: (M) 15.4-
21.5 mm, (F) 14-19.4 mm
