Characteristic Features

-Thick, flattened shell with spire and large body whorl. Strong varices
placed on opposite sides of each whorl.

-Outer lip thickened and denticulate. Siphonal canal upturned.

-Posterior canal deep and bordered with nodules on parietal side.

-Whole shell covered with spiral ribs which may be granulose, nodulose
or beaded.

-Pale brown or whitish with darker brown spots and spiral bands on ribs.

-Outer lip, columella callus and aperture white or yellowish brown 6-8cm.
