Characteristic Features

-Sides of spire rather flat; body whorl with a thick varix opposite the lip;
the *subsutural row of tubercles large than the two anterior rows, tubercles
rounded, absolute on the body whorl; base with six smooth spiral ribs.

-Colour variable, usually gray or brown, *subsutural rib, and tubercles
white, aperture brown.
