Characteristic Features

-The shell is rather conical, with a tall narrow spire with slightly rounded
whorls; there is a small sloping ledge below the suture.

-The fasiole is strong and the umbilicus open and deep. A small anal notch
is evident, and the siphonal canal is short and deep. Off-white, with hazy
beige or pale tan spiral bands and blotches, it is a shallow water mud-
dweller.
