Characteristic Features

-Spindle-shaped shell with about 14 whorls

-Each whorl is divided in the middle into lower and upper halves by a
spiral ridge

-The upper half is indented while the lower half is straight

-Fine spiral costae can be found all over the shell surface

-A well-developed spiral costae is located just below the suture

-Anterior canal is elongated
