Characteristic Features

-Body elongate, elliptical and compressed.

-20-23 rows of scales between lateral line and median dorsal spines.

-Last dorsal spine equal to or shorter than the first.

-Caudal fin lunate.

-Body with numerous yellow white spots.

-Size: 20-175 mm

Ecology

-Common name : Rabbit fish

-Feed on medusae, Copepoda, lucifer, Ostracoda, pelagic Amphipoda,
Chaetognatha, Tunicata, Crustacea larvae, fith larvae, benthic algae,
Polychaeta, Lamellibranchia, Gastropoda, Brachyura, Isopoda, worms,
fish, Cephalopoda and detrital organic matters.
