Characteristic Features |
Shell moderately in size and hard, with elongate shape. Left valve slightly larger than right valve. Radiating sculpture of about 35 ribs. Hinge line straight, teeth numerous. Horse-shaped anterior adductor muscle scar, globular-shaped posterior adductor muscle scar. Shell surface white in colour. Periostracum with fine bristles in the ventral side of ribs, dark brown in colour. |
