1. IOLA works mainly with Internet Explorer only.

  2. Most pages on IOLA are right-clickable. Right click now and you will see a shortcut menu.

  3. On this site, there are two types of drag and drop exercises. The first and "easy" type is used on the pre-listening tasks. The second and difficult type is used on some while-listening tasks.

  4. On the pre-listening vocab pages, when you mouseover a vocab item, the pronunciation will be played automatically. Be careful not to mouseover the vocab items if you do not intend to hear the pronunciations.

  5. On the review/reflection pages, you can mouse over the reflection questions and vocab review hyperlinks to see the questions and to review the vocabulary. Mouse over this now and you will see a reflection prompts window. Mouse over this and you will see a vocabulary review window. You can click on the little play buttons to hear the pronunciations.

  6. On some listening tasks, you can also click open popup windows to review the vocabulary. Click this and a window will pop up. However, if your computer is busy, it make take a few seconds to show up.
