　 Definition:
Vertical distance from the floor to the acromion (i.e. the bony tip of the shoulder).
　

Applications:
The approximate center of rotation of the upper limb and, hence, of use in determining zones of comfortable reach; reference datum for location of fixtures, fittings, controls etc.

　

　 Corrections:
