30. Foot length

　

	Definition:	Distance, parallel to the long axis of the foot, from the back of the heel to the tip of the longest toe.
	Applications:	Clearance for foot, design of pedals.
	Corrections:	In many respects surveys of shoes would be more relevant than surveys of feet since their sizes and shapes are often unrelated. For the purposes of argument, we could add 30mm for men’s street shoes and 40mm for protective boots.
