Characteristic Features

Circular shell with similar, small ears. Fine, concentric straie. About 25 radial ribs on inside of each valve. Left valve pale reddish purple rayed with fine, bluish lines. Right valve white.

Habitat

Occuring in 5 - 80 m deep, sandy bottom.

~80 - 100 mm (shell length)

Indian Ocean to West Pacific.
