1.2.1 Photopic Vision The cones of the rentina (7 millions in number) are responsible for day vision, in three dimensions and in colour, three different photopigments giving sensitivity to red, blue and green. 1.2.2 Scotopic Vision The rods of the rentina (130 millions in number) are responsible for night vision. 1.2.3 Mesopic Vision Mescopic vision applies to luminance range from about 10-2 to about 10 cd/m2, where neither of photopic and scotopic vision is dominant. |
