6 Methods of Preventing Condensation

Condensation is avoided if the structural temperature is kept above the dewpoint through the following:

(a) elevating the structural temperature curve, for example, by placing the insulation layer near to the outside surface.

(b) ventilating the affected surface to ensure that vapour pressure at the surface is below the saturated vapour pressure.

(c) depressing the dewpoint curve, for example, by installing a vapour barrier near the warm side.
