Disability and discomfort glare arise in
floodlighting. Glare is reduced by:
(a) increasing the floodlight mounting
height,
(b) aiming the peak intensity of the
floodlights at elevation angles of at least 70o, and
(c) ensuring that the luminance of the area
and its surroundings is as high as possible.
