This site contains hyperlinks to the Universities in UK and Australia. The number of universities will be updated on regular basis. Before you decide to further your studies, ask yourself a few questions. What is the aim of your further studies?

  1. to learn more advanced technical skills,

  2. to improve your English skill,

  3. to know more about the world; or

  4. to develop your independence.

you are the  visitor since 10 Oct 1999.

If your answer is number 1, you should choose the most tough programme which you haven't learnt before. If your answer is number 2, you should choose the University that has student accommodation so that you can mix with local students. If your answer is number 3, you should choose the university that is in major city such as London, Manchester (UK) , Sydney, Melbourne (Australia), so that you can enjoy the ambience of metropolitan city. Finally for question number 4, you should choose the University that is far from metropolitan city.

Also note that some of the Universities offer very sophisticated and unique programme such as Bsc in Game Development or Bsc in Digital Entertainment programme is offered by the University of Teesside. So, look at their programme handbooks and see what skills you will learn. Finally, you should be aware that you will miss one year working experience and two-year your earning (miss one year work and pay one year tuition fee and living cost). Roughly speaking, the tuition fee for University in UK is 7500 pounds and living cost is around HKD50,000 (9 months) while the tuition fee for University in Australia is 13000 Australia dollars and the living cost is more or less the same.

University Ranking in 2000 There are many performance indicators to assess one University. You can treat this as a reference only. You can also check with Times to get the latest ranking.

You can also refer to the programme handbook which shows many opportunities to further your studies locally, With CityU (SCOPE), Hong Kong U (SPACE) or overseas Universities in USA etc. If you haven't made up you mind, you can also go to the General Office to ask for the file that contains more detailed information about further studies. Finally, ask the liaison officer who is responsible for further studies for personal advice (currently, Wilson Yuen)
