Fog
Taking pictures of fog can be tricky, as fog after all appears as a white layer that diffuses the image behind it. So how can we capture more than just a "blurr". This picture gives an idea. Some areas are completely covered in fog and therefore invisible, while other (e.g., the dark trees) are clearly visible. The color scheme is muted. On the positive side, the fog gives the picture depth and makes it look unusual.
