Vancouver Sunset

I took the scenic picture below with a Rollei 35 LED, a camera I purchased in the 1970s for about US$60.  Rollei 35 has achieved something of a cult status, being a very small, fully manual camera which produces excellent pictures.   the 35 LED is the least expensive model, featuring a Triotar (3.5/40)  lens.   The top-of-the-line model 35S/SE comes with the exquisite Sonnar (2.8/40) lens. But, as you can see, the 35 LED is already capable of nice results.

Other reasons to buy a Rollei 35 are:

  1. It's manual, so it works even if the battery is gone.
  2. It's very small and therefore easy to take along.
  3. It's made of metal and therefore quite robust
  4. It's cute! (Well that's not really a good reason).
