Huaiqing Wang is a Professor at the Department of Information Systems. He is the Honorary Dean and a Guest Professor of the School of Information Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology, China; and a Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Manchester, UK, in 1987.

Dr. Wang specializes in research and development of business intelligence systems, intelligent agents and their applications (such as intelligent financial systems, virtual learning systems, business process management systems, knowledge management systems, conceptual modeling and ontology).

He has published more than 60 international refereed journal articles and received more than 300 SCI citations. His h-indices on SCI are 12 and his h-indices on scholar.google.com are 16. Such journals include Communications of the ACM, Artificial Intelligence, IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Robotics and Automation, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, IEEE Computer, IEEE Expert, IEEE Software, Decision Support Systems, and Information & Management, etc.
