        We can be fairly sure
that sex differences in stature and related body dimensions most
differences in bodily proportions are almost entirely biological in
their origin, although there may be a small overlay of differences
        attributable to lifestyle, etc.

        In the case of muscular
strength, however, the position is more evenly balanced, and although
the male of the species has the greater physiological propensity to the
acquisition of muscle strength, the overlay of differences associated
with physical training and lifestyle is very considerable. |
