Using colloidal chemistry approaches, we synthesize nanocrystals of different materials (semiconductors, metals, oxides) of variable sizes, shapes and compositions. We currently focus on infra-red emitting II-VI semiconductor nanocrystals; as well as carbon dots, perovskite nanocrystals and metal nanoclusters emitting in the visible spectral range.
We widely apply photoluminescence spectroscopy to study light emission, energy transfer and charge separation in composite structures containing those kinds of nanoparticles, and explore their different applications such as light-emitting devices and photodetectors.
