We are looking for highly-motivated Ph.D. and postdoc to join us. Your work will be related to the field of Computational Materials Science, and you will have the chance to collaborate with active experimental groups around the world.
TOEFL and IELTS scores are considered valid for two years from the test date and must be valid at the time of submission of the application.
If you have a high GPA and/or peer-reviewed international published papers (SCI), the chances that you pass the department screening will be increased.

Financial Support for Graduate Students: > HKD 19,100 per month, 12 months per year, to all successful candidates. The tuition fee (around 3,000 HKD/month) may be waived, and travel funds will be possible for students with great academic performance.
The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship is a prestigious award established by the Research Grants Council (RGC) of the HKSAR Government. It aims to attract the best and brightest students in the world to pursue studies in research degree programmes at Hong Kong’s institutions. Students who have graduated or are graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with good academic records and experience are welcome to apply.

In addition, CityUHK will award each successful Fellowship recipient a Scholarship, which covers students’ tuition and university student hall accommodation fees in their first year of research studies and provides a full stipend to support the fourth year of PhD study. Various types of financial support will be provided to eligible students to undertake research-related activities and to attend international academic conferences.
